New Toys!

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for visiting today. I have to tell you about my new toy, really toys. You can't just get one. They are called Copic Markers. They are great! I took a beginner class at one of my favorite stamp stores (Ink About It). Jenn the instructor taught us different techniques using these markers. It takes practice that's for sure, more practice etc. I thought I was pretty good with coloring. These are not your ordinary markers. These are big girl toys. Hey! If guys can have big boy toys so can we - right.

There are so bright, vivid and beautiful. There are so many colors even a rainbow doesn't have this many. So I guess I will have to stay in today and do my homework (coloring). So many images to color and so little time. So if you get a chance check out these markers, they are something else.

Take care till next time.

Our day

Hi everyone,

Welcome back to my busy world. I know, you too! Anyway I had a wonderful day yesterday with my two girlfriends from New Hampshire.
We try to get together every couple of months to chat and make cards. It's our time together. We talk about anything and everything. It's great! We go back and forth to each others house. Most of the time who ever is hosting will make the main meal and the other 2 bring dessert and snacks. We start early in the morning and go until we just can't go anymore.

Valerie and Elaine are the best friends anyone could have. I live in Mass. and they both live in New Hampshire and we still are able to keep our friendship together. This is the longest relationship I have been able to keep. My family moved around alot when I was young so I lost friendships because of that.

We made a ton of cards and laughed just as much. I even made Christmas cards! I'm happy.
I'm of on a shopping trip to my favorite places (stamp stores). Have a wonderful day and come back and visit again. Thanks

Hi everyone,

I hope you all are enjoying your summer. As always life is busy. I can't believe school stuff is already out. Didn't the kids just get out? It feels like summer is just flying by.

Sometimes I'm not quite sure where to start with my blog. I have so many things on my mind. So get a cup of coffee and sit for a while, it will be fun.

Right now I am sitting on my balcony enjoying the evening now that the sun has gone passed my side of the building and it has cooled off a bit. I enjoy sitting on my balcony and listening to the waves hit the wall. It is so soothing and peaceful. It helps to forgetting the passing traffic and the loud motorcycles who just have to make sure you can hear them. WE DO!

I wanted this blog to be about my papercrafts. I have rekindled my love for rubber stamping. It gives you instant gratification. Although I promised myself that I would not collect so many rubber stamps this time. At one time I had over 500 rubber stamps. I also said that I wasn't that interested in any stamps that were not mounted. I had no idea that if they were unmounted you could have more, what was I thinking. It's like they say you should never say never.

I've been having a lot of fun taking different classes. It's always fun to learn new things. I've got a few classes this week. I can't wait. I'll let you know how they were later in the week.

I'm off for now. Have fun, enjoy the day and tell someone you love them. It's a nice feeling.

Springfield Convention

Well the Springfield Convention has come and gone. As always I find something I just had to have. My new toys are Copic markers. They are so cool. Since I just got them I'm not sure what I can do with them, but I'll find out.

Anyway there were some good vendors there this year. Although I don't think there were as many as last year. I hate to think that the economy has hit the craft world too. Just when you need something to take your mind off of all the bad things going around. You would think people would be looking for something to help relieve stress. Remember when you were a kid and you got out your crayons and coloring book? Give it another try you just might like it.

Take care and we'll talk soon.

Convention time

Well everyone the Springfield Ma. convention will be here this weekend. It will be my last convention of the year. Although the (CHA)convention is going to be in Illinois at the end of July. If you go to the AC Moore craft site you can register to win tickets to the convention. For those of you who do not know what CHA is it is the Craft and Hobby Association. This is where all the new products come out of before they are in stores. I have always wanted to go so wish me luck. Good luck to you too. Take care

Stamp store

I forgot to tell you the name of the stamp store "Ink About It" 6 Carlisle Road, Westford Ma. 01886, 978-392-0321. The girls there are very nice. The store is done very nicely. If you buy the stamps of a sample you like they make a copy of it for you. How many times have you tried to remember what the card looked like. I know I've tried, but sometimes it just doesn't work. Anyway enjoy and check out there web site too.

Where did the time go!

Hi Everyone,

Hope all is well with you. Sorry for the long delay in my blog. Time just goes so fast these days.

I want to tell you about a convention that is coming up in June. It's the 5th & 6th. It's at the Eastern States Expo, 1305 Memorial Ave., West Springfield. My friends and I have been going for many years. You get to see and play with all kinds of new toys.

Also I found this great stamp store on line. Of course I had to go check it out. I don't know about you but sometimes I get the creative block. Going to this store was just what I needed. I had forgotten how much fun stamping was. Believe me it's just like riding a bike (you don't forget) . The instant gratification is wonderful. So pick up your stamp and ink pad and "You Go Girl". Have fun.

Take care and talk soon.
